Firestick digital signage: turn a Fire TV Stick into a business screen with LOOP.

First screen free. No credit card required.

Why use LOOP for Fire TV digital signage

Plugs into any HDMI screen

A Fire TV Stick turns the TV you already have into a managed business screen.

Keeps playing offline

Content is stored on the Fire TV, so the screen keeps playing if Wi-Fi drops and syncs when it is back.

Control screens remotely

Change the volume, restart the app, clear the cache and take screenshots from the LOOP dashboard.

One dashboard for every screen

Manage Fire TV screens next to your Amazon Signage, Android and Samsung screens with the same playlists and schedules.

Fire TV Stick vs Amazon Signage Stick

A Fire TV Stick is a quick way to put LOOP on a screen. The Amazon Signage Stick is purpose built for digital signage: it auto-launches LOOP in kiosk mode and adds device control that a Fire TV Stick doesn't allow.

How to set up LOOP on a Fire TV Stick

1

On the Fire TV, open the Appstore, search for "LOOP Digital Signage" and download it.

2

Open LOOP. An activation code appears on the screen.

3

In your LOOP account, add a screen, enter the code and assign a playlist or schedule.

4

Set up auto-start (below) so LOOP opens by itself when the Fire TV restarts.

Check your Fire TV model. LOOP runs on Fire TV Sticks, the Fire TV Cube and Fire TV smart TVs with Fire OS. Newer models with Vega OS, such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, are not supported yet.

Auto-start setup (one time, from a computer):
1. On the Fire TV, go to Settings, My Fire TV, About, and click your Fire TV name 7 times. Then turn on ADB debugging in Developer Options.
2. Find the Fire TV IP address in Settings, then Network.
3. Install ADB on your computer. Windows: choco install adb. macOS: brew install android-platform-tools. Linux: sudo apt install android-tools-adb.
4. Run this command with your own Fire TV IP address instead of 192.168.1.85, then restart the Fire TV:
curl -fsSL https://loop.gs/fire/autostart.sh | bash -s -- 192.168.1.85

FAQ

Fire TV digital signage FAQ

Can you use a Fire Stick for digital signage?

Yes. Install the LOOP Digital Signage app from the Amazon Appstore, pair it with your LOOP account, and the Fire TV Stick plays your content on a schedule and keeps playing offline. Some device controls, such as remote screen on/off, are not available on Fire TV, and Vega OS models such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Select are not supported yet. See the setup steps.

Amazon Signage Stick vs Fire TV Stick for digital signage?

Both run LOOP. The Amazon Signage Stick is purpose built for digital signage: it auto-launches LOOP in kiosk mode and supports remote screen on/off, device restart and kiosk lockdown. A Fire TV Stick is built for home entertainment, so those controls are not available. Compare Fire TV and Amazon Signage.

How do I make LOOP start automatically on a Fire TV?

Turn on developer mode and ADB debugging on the Fire TV, install ADB on a computer, then run the LOOP auto-start command with the Fire TV IP address and restart it. It is a one-time step. See the auto-start setup.

Do I need a computer to use a Fire TV for signage?

Only for auto-start. Installing the LOOP Fire TV Stick signage app and pairing it works from the remote alone. The computer is used once to grant the permission that lets LOOP open after a restart. See the setup steps.

What are the limitations of LOOP on Fire TV?

Remote screen on/off, device restart, power scheduling and kiosk lockdown are not available on Fire TV. Auto-start needs a one-time ADB setup, 4K depends on the Fire TV model, and Vega OS devices such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Select are not supported yet. See the full feature list.

What other players does LOOP support?

LOOP also runs on the Amazon Signage Stick and Display, Android, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Raspberry Pi, TCL, and Windows PCs or any browser through the LOOP Web Player. See all digital signage players.
